Day 44 to Portomarin 27km and 186 floors uphill
The final week! Sarria is where many people start their Camino, because it qualifies for the Compostela but takes less than a week. The difference is very noticeable. The scenery is just as lovely. But now there are hordes of pilgrims. Far more cafés on arrival, all filled.
From here it gets even more crowded apparently, especially in the last few days, and more road walking.
Oh well, it was to be expected.
