Day 45 to Palas del Rey 30km and 171 floors uphill
The masses of people get more with every stop from here. The countryside is still lovely, but on the occasional café in a village to take a break there are now queues of people. I preferred the tranquility of the little used Caminos that we did in other years. But this Camino Frances had to be done, and it is only now in the last week that it's been crowded.
Tomorrow one of my sons arrives, having unfortunately messed up on boarding his flight today.
